if the population of 5 rabbits grows at 200% each year .how many there be 20 years ?

OpenStudy (dan815):

every year you will have 200% more of what you started with 5--->5+2*5=15----->15+2*15=45-----> x--->(x*3)------>x*3*3----->

OpenStudy (dan815):

in 20 years u will have 5*3^20

OpenStudy (dan815):

i hope i am doing that right 200% meaning that and not doubling

OpenStudy (dan815):

if its doubling then its 5*2^20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wich is the formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 rabbits grows at 200% each year,So the amount of them: -First year: \(\Large 5+\frac{200}{100}\times5=15 =3^1\times5\) -Second year: \(\Large 15+\frac{200}{100}\times15=45=3^2\times5\) -Third year:\(\Large 45+\frac{200}{100}\times45=135=3^3\times5\) ........ -Twentieth year: \(\Large 3^{20} \times5\)
