Okay, I am really tired and need to finish this before I go to bed. Can anyone help me, please? Write a brief explanation, detailing what you learned from this interview on our evolving language and what factors you feel might influence language to continually change. I chose the words "grovy, foxy, and kicked the bucket".
The "interview" was with my mom about what words she used when she was younger.
@Destinymasha Can you help? :D
I know that this might be easy, but I am having a brain fart because I am really tired - it is like 2 AM where I live, lol. xD
Ugh, this is gonna be a bit difficult. I'm on my tablet, and I can hardly see a thing lol
What does the question mean by what factors might influence the language to change?
Umm..as far as I can see ^_^ I think what are some things that can contribute to the change in language?
Certain events in the past, maybe?
(Or future)
Oh! Maybe a few people can change a few words for fun... and then it sticks? I dunno.
Okay, here's what I wrote: The English language will never stop changing. New words are invented all the time. The reason that new words and phrases can come into existence is because people invent new technology (and they need names for new things), new styles and fashions come into play, and also foreign people can say a few things and everyone decides to use the new word.
Do you think this is good?
Yes! It's wonderful :3
Okay, thank you very much. :D
You're very welcome :P
