According to the definition given by Google, an irrational number is: "In mathematics, an irrational number is any real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of integers. Informally, this means that an irrational number cannot be represented as a simple fraction. Irrational numbers are those real numbers that cannot be represented as terminating or repeating decimals.
The square root of 169 is 13. The square root of 12 squared is just 12. The 0.78 is a repeating decimal, so the only one that is irrational is the square root of 18.
