OpenStudy (shelld93):

I have found the gradient of two lines. y = 2x + 4 where 2 is the gradient and 2y - 2x = 4 where -1 is the gradient. are these lines parallel ? justify your answer

OpenStudy (shamim):

two lines will b parallel if gradient of those two line r equal

OpenStudy (shamim):

gradient of ur given two lines r 2,-1

OpenStudy (shelld93):

so they are not parallel as the the two gradients are not equal ?

OpenStudy (shamim):

yes

OpenStudy (shelld93):

great thanks again :)

OpenStudy (shamim):

nd u can draw ur given two equations of line on ur graph paper. u will c those r not parallel

OpenStudy (shamim):

u r most welcome
