Help! In the following, do I needs a comma after the word " whereas"? Whereas I felt that needing someone else to move past a situation would not benefits a person.

What is the prior sentence to this one?

Give me a min

Yes, I believe you do need a comma. Just like its necessary for a comma after "therefor" or "then". Conjunctions need commas when placed at the begining of a sentence.
