which of the following is NOT found in DNA? a.phosphate group b.chromosome c.deoxyribose d.nitrogenous base
im thinking its between b and c
which one u'd choose between b and c ?
can u tell me what does DNA structure have?
well phosphate group is backbone so its not that deoxyribose is sugar store and transmit hereditary/genetic info so its between b and d @somy
Its D
Do you know what nucleotides are?
The answer's not D, dear.
its d? okay thanks yes i know what it is
oh okie -_- That sucks
Yeah it sure does.
so since d is out bc its in dna and rna then its b right
Nucleotides are the building blocks of DNA. They have three parts. 1. Nitrogenous base 2. Five carbon sugar 3. Phosphate group
Yeah it's B. Chromosomes are not found in DNA, because chromosomes are MADE of DNA.
thanks for clarifying that
ok I'm in a hurry so i'll explain phosphate group- in DNA's phosphate backbone deoxyribose- is a pentose (5 carbons) sugar that is bonded to phosphate back bone and nitrogenous bases nitrogenous bases- are adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine (these bases make up triplet codon that codes for specific amino acids) what connects all these? Nucleotide. Nucleotide consists of phosphoric group, deoxyribose sugar and nitrogenous base. Nucleotide is a monomer of nucleic acid.
thanks @somy
