Will someone please help me with a few science questions I'll give medal but I really need help!

OpenStudy (somy):

what are the questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. Which of the following sets of terms could be used in a description of the peripheral nervous system? A. motor neuron, interneuron, sensory neuron B. brain, sensory neuron, myelin C. interneuron, spinal cord, autonomic D. somatic, brain, spinal cord 2. Which of the following is not a function of the human nervous system? A. regulating heartbeat B. listening to music C. moving oxygen from air into the blood D. signaling the diaphragm to contract 3. Which of the following correctly describes how nerve impulses move throughout the body? A. electrical transmission through neurons and electrical transmission between neurons B. chemical transmission through neurons and chemical transmission between neurons C. chemical transmission through neurons and electrical transmission between neurons D. electrical transmission through neurons and chemical transmission between neurons 4. An external event stimulates a sensory nerve, which transmits a signal to an interneuron in the spinal cord. This stimulates a motor neuron, which stimulates a muscle to contract. Which of the following terms applies to the sequence of events described above? A. voluntary motion B. reflex C. somatic response D. synapse 5. A person wakes from sleep, hears a strange noise downstairs, and becomes alarmed. Which of the following describes the corresponding events taking place in his nervous system? A. motor neurons spinal cord brain B. brain motor neurons C. brain spinal cord sensory neurons D. sensory neurons spinal cord brain

I think 5.C 2.B

OpenStudy (somy):

for 2 i'd say its C since O2 gas has nothing to do with nervous system, it is to do with diffusion concept its not B because when you listen to music your is translating what you listening to to its own biological language that makes you understand the song and remember it (thats what i think)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow Thanks!

OpenStudy (somy):

i'd really love to explain the rest to u but i've done this last year so i'll need to look through it so that i don't give you wrong info

Hello @ms.made ! \(\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\\\color{white}{.}\\\Huge\sf\color{blue}{~~~~Welcome~to~OpenStudy!~\ddot\smile}\\\color{white}{.}\\\\\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

4-B

OpenStudy (abhisar):

5-D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

The peripheral nervous system is the part of the nervous system that consists of the nerves and ganglia outside of the brain and spinal cord. So 1-A

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Transmission between the neurons i.e through synapses take place through chemicals called as neurotransmitters such as GABA, dopamine etc. So 3-D

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

Hi! @ms.made According to open study rules, you are not supposed to post more than one qn per post. So i request you the please make sure that you post only ONE qn per post from next time....:) Now \(\color{violet}{\Huge\text{Please close this qn.}}\) \(\color{indigo}{\Huge\text{Happy Open Studying!!}}\)

OpenStudy (somy):

@shreehari499 @Abhisar what's going on here with all those beautiful writings? lmao

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

The beauty of Latex Writing..:) lol

OpenStudy (somy):

how on earth do u do that? @shreehari499

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

Wait i'll message u some links..go through that..:)
