Solve for x in the equation: 6x^2-42x=0

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

1) factor out of x. This will give you one answer, x=0 2) add 42 to both sides 3) divide both sides by 6, this will give you the second solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[6x^2-42x=0 ~~ 6x(x-7)=0\] factoring the left hand side, and I'll stop here because I see solomon already has the steps written out for you :p
