It was divided by Huayna Capac (11th emperor) between his two sons, Atahualpa and Huáscar. Later however, Atahualpa became emperor after he defeated and executed his older half-brother Huáscar in a civil war sparked by the death of their father. This divided and mid transition empire made it easier for the Spanish to conquer. ***If this is a multiple choice question, always post the choices under the question.
