I have seriously done this ten times and I cannot fathom how they have those answers to choose from when mine is not even a choice! I took the total volume of the large cylinder and then subtracted from it the volume of the smaller cylinder. Hmmm...

The equation for the volume of a cylinder is\[\Pi r^{2}h\]Therefore the volume of the hollow cylinder would be the volume of the large cylinder minus the volume of the small cylinder. Based on what they give us, we can say \[\Pi 10^{2}(15)-\Pi5 ^{2}(15)\]which equals 1125pi in^3.

Oh, duh! I was multiplying the pi into the answers instead of leaving the answer in terms of pi. They reading the question next time, right!?
