What is the vertex of the parabola whose equation is x=y^2-4y+2, and in which direction does it open?

well the parabola is concave right... and has a line of symmetry of y = 2 to find the vertex, complete the square in y... it needs to be in the form \[x = (y - k)^2 + h\]
