First, it's clear that the line has an open hole, meaning that it can't be equal at -7. So you can automatically cross off B and D as a possible answer. Also, we see that the y values are greater than -7. Looking at choices A and C, we see that we have to subtract 5 from each side. And when we do, we see that A is the correct answer, because y > –7
