Ok for this one, you have the volume of a cylinder and of a rectangular prism. 

So, volume of a cylinder is pi times the radius squared times the height of the cylinder. Then the rectangular prism would just be length times width times height.

So the volume of a rectangular prism is LWH, which in this case is 12x6x14, giving you 1088. The volume of a cylinder is$$\Pi r^{2}h$$, so $$\Pi(4^{2})(4)$$which equals about 201.1 Add them together to get 1209.1

Although I thing you have a typo on the 1088, should be 1008
But the sum is correct, so I think you just wrote that down wrong.
