Lori has determined a function f(x) that shows the exponential growth of the number of jeans Tim owns each year. Explain how the f−1(x) can be found and what f−1(250) means.

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

f^-1 is the inverse of the function f^-1(250) is to take 250 and substitute it into the inverse function

So I should make a function myself?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Umm, I don't know, it says "Lori has determined a function f(x) that shows the exponential growth of the number of jeans Tim owns each year." So there already is a function.

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

To find the inverse switch the x's and y's Solve for Y again, and when you have it to: y = ? Switch y to \(\ f^{-1}(x)\) Then plug in 250 into the new function you made by taking the inverse

Okkay thank you ~ I understand now
