Does anyone have a clue of what the matrices on this should look like? I have tried it two different ways, and i don't think they're right.

They are column vectors.

There are 5 figures per column. How do I set up a matrice with 5?

They want 4 matrices.  They do not say that each is a 4 item matrix.  So each matrix will have 5 things in it, which is fine.
