e^ln(5x)

what does it equal?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

We have the composition of a an exponential function and it's inverse, the logarithmic function. \[\Large\rm f\left(f^{-1}(x)\right)=x\]You can think of the exponential and the log as sort of... undoing one another.\[\Large\rm e^{\ln(5x)}=5x\]
