thomaster (thomaster):

Is this the design section? or the Sketchtoy group...

thomaster (thomaster):

Please remember to keep the content on this site educational. It's a study website, not a coffee corner. If you want to show your "real" drawings or paintings (and with real I mean NO electronic drawings) and ask for opinions, that's fine by me. But nowadays this seems to become the sketchtoy party group, which it was not intended for.

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

wanna draft a rules post for this group like becca has going in the music?

thomaster (thomaster):

Could be an option. There are many things you could and could not allow in a music group, but in a design group there are only a few things. This group was originally made for questions about AutoCAD and other similar design software, but I don't see those anymore nowadays. We could say no more drawing contests and stuff, since it's not design, just art. But we always tolerated that since there's no art section. Only thing I'd say is: If you want to post your drawings, take a picture of it and post it, like most people used to do. No computer-made sketches/drawings and stuff. However, questions about photo editing with PhotoShop and similar software are welcome.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

It would be nice if they renamed it to Art and Design so it would at least over how it is used these days.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is the design section most people use Sketchtoy because its a electronical drawpad and you can easily upload your drawing, and you can trace a picture by dragging a picture to the background Like here is some of my work from Sketchtoy.com

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah! oops, I think the whole sketchtoy thing started with me.... and I never meant for there to be any "sketchtoy parties" ... I originally shared an openstudy sketch i did.... i hope it isnt too much of a problem :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd say both, but that's me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahahaha
