Given f(x) = –5x + 1, what is f(–2)? A.11 B.3/5 C.1 D.-9 I keep getting 12

mathslover (mathslover):

How did you get 12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When f(-2) is the same thing as saying when x = -2. So plug in x = -2 in the equation and solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(-2) = –5(-2) + 1 Can you solve that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i took f(-2)=-5(-2)+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait it's plus one sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put it wrong i put +2 instead of +1 but i got it now thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's 11
