true or false The structure shown in Figure 10-5 is a replicated chromosome? If false change the word replicated chromosome to a word that makes ir true

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @Pagetar ! where is the figure ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here it is

OpenStudy (abhisar):

What do u think..is it true or false ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was thinking it was false

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I have a doubt...cause i think its true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any reason y you say that

OpenStudy (abhisar):

But if it is false then it must be condensed in place of replicated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see now okay thanks

OpenStudy (abhisar):

@Somy

OpenStudy (somy):

oh that's false, its Homologous chromosome @Abhisar @Pagetar but let me check to make sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it false

OpenStudy (somy):

oh wait i was wrong

OpenStudy (abhisar):

No it's sister chromosome...not homologous chromosomes..i think...it's false because its not completely replicated..so i think it should be condensed chromosome

OpenStudy (somy):

i know i mixed it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (abhisar):

its okay...but do u think my statement is ryt ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (somy):

2 identical sister chromatids make up one chromosome

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hey why not we use sister in place of replicated ?

OpenStudy (somy):

so we can use ward replicate, since they are identical thus exact copy of each other

OpenStudy (somy):

because they are identical and make up 1 chromosome, that's why we call them sister chromatids

OpenStudy (somy):

word*

OpenStudy (abhisar):

So u think the answer will be true ?

OpenStudy (somy):

oh wait!!! stop NO

OpenStudy (somy):

its false! if they were to say 'replicated chromatid' this would be right

OpenStudy (somy):

replicated means making exact copy in this case, it exact copy of Chromosome

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hmmmm

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yes chromatid is one copy of the replicated chromosome

OpenStudy (somy):

im trying to get what the question is really asking

OpenStudy (abhisar):

question wants us to replace the word replicated if the statement is wrong

OpenStudy (somy):

oh lol im going back and forth trying to get when was it called replicated lol

OpenStudy (abhisar):

since the statement is false....replicated word have to be replaced with some other word....and i think condensed will be the word

OpenStudy (somy):

you can say replicated or duplicated

OpenStudy (somy):

yes lol @Abhisar sorry i'm too much into chemistry atm so i was a bit confused

OpenStudy (abhisar):

but u cleared my doubt..LOL Thank you so much @Somy !

OpenStudy (somy):

lol u r welcome i guess? hehe @Abhisar
