Please help! Identify the independent and dependent variables. Larry is conducting an experiment to see how many inches of snowfall occurs in each city in the state.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... well what remains the same nomatter how many snowfalls there is....

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the cities are independent...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seriously???? Do u want them to learn ANYTHING????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, thank you, im bad at finding variables

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cities are independant because they never change.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well here is a simple method.... put it into a sentence... ..." is the snowfall dependent upon the city or is the city dependent upon the snowfall"... the 1st one makes more choice... so the link is snowfall and dependent... so city is independent. hope it helps
