Question

So I'm totally confused on how this mixed number on this algebraic expression changed from "7 1/3" to "6 4/3" and it even shows in the right on how they did it but I still don't get it:

7 + 1/3 = 6 + 4/3
= 6 + 1/3 + 3/3
= 6 + 1/3 + 1
= 6 + 1 + 1/3
= 7 + 1/3

7 + 1/3 = 7 + 1/3
= 6 + 1 + 1/3
= 6 + 3/3 + 1/3
= 6 + 4/3
