also, politically nothing was being done to fix the problem so people wanted a leader that they could trust would fix the situation.

and the germans were seen as scum and useless and had lost their high pride they once had. so once hitler came along telling them he wanted to germany great again, and be the greatest race of course they were excited to restore their national pride.
