OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Name the x-values for which the sine function equals to the cosine function in the domain 0°< x < 360°

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

@amistre64 please help? :)

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Oh sorry i dont know this :\

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

@amistre64 do you know how to do this? i'm really confused.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when does sin(x) = cos(x) ??

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

i'm not sure

OpenStudy (amistre64):

better yet: let x = r cos(t), let y = r sin(t) ... if its the unit circle then r=1 cos(t) = sin(t), when x=y what sort of line does this make?

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

a vertical line?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no, x=y is not a vertical line .... |dw:1401813534633:dw|

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

oh...ok

OpenStudy (amistre64):

consider what it means when x=y ... it means that we can form a 4 sided object that has equal sides .... |dw:1401813594122:dw|
