Medal and Fan. :) Which part of speech is the underlined word? Fresh fruit seldom lasts at our house. A. preposition B. verb C. adjective D. adverb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where is the underlined word?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seldom is underlined as such |dw:1401808598865:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so any answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would go for adverb. It's definitely not a verb or adjective and I'm pretty sure it's not a preposition since that usually goes BEFORE the noun.

Thanks

I was thinking the same thing as @Ley123 but I'm not completely positive. But i'd go with adverb as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rainbowsandhappiness yeah I'm going back and forth between preposition and adverb but the main subject is 'fresh fruit' not 'house' so I think it's an adverb since it's expressing a relation between the two subjects.

Exactly :) @Ley123
