Please Help I'LL FAN & MEDAL!!! :) How many solutions does the system of equations have? y = x + 5 y = 2x + 3 A. The system has exactly one solution. B. The system has infinitely many solutions. C. The system has no solution.

OpenStudy (lyrae):

Those functions are lines (y = mx + b). Notice how they have different m-values (1 and 2). This means that the lines in this case are nonparallel and will interesect in one point. The solution of a system of equation is the point(s) where the functions in the system intersect(s).
