Can someone help me with an english essay? I'm not asking for someone to write my essay, I just need a little direction. My grade depends on this. Ill post the prompt in the comments.
what does it have to be on
Throughout the semester, you studied literature from the 1920s through the 1980s and followed a pattern of change in American society. Based on the stories and authors studied, write a short essay about how the literature of america changed from the 1920s and 1930s to the 1950s and 1960s. These pieces of literature provide insights into American history. In your essay, be sure to include a brief summary of the American history shown through this literature. Be sure to include an analysis of the theme, style and tone.

go on Google and research each year then put it i your own words so that way you don't plagiarize
What she/he is asking is basically how the American culture affected the writing. Look back on some of the readers you have been studying. I'm sure it'll list some of their greatest or well known works, Look them up to find dates and what they are about. Now compare these with the world the author grew up in. Were they born in the great depression and wrote of hard life and dreams of things to come? Did they survive the war and spread a message of how both evil and good the world was? Examples: Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald was about the American dream and the sudden emergence of greed and possessions that ruined peoples lives, in the roaring 20s before the depression. Night by Elie Wiesel (not American) was about the horrors he had witnessed as a child in the camps and what drove him to survive and gave him hope. Basically think like if YOU were being asked "why did you write this" were you upset over war, happy for a better future, or even just trying to get your view out there like the beatnik movement.
@brookie-knight thank you, friend.
Welcome. :)
Might I ask for a medal, if it's not to much bother?
