(1,5)..x1 = 1 and y1 = 5
(3,13)..x2 = 3 and y2 = 13
now sub
slope = (13 - 5) / (3 - 1)
slope = 8/2
slope = 4

now use y = mx + b
slope(m) = 4
use any one of your set of points...(1,5)..x = 1 and y = 5
now we sub
y = mx + b
5 = 4(1) + b
5 = 4 + b
5 - 4 = b
1 = b

your equation is : y = 4x + 1 or y = 1 + 4x (A)
