If that bisector cuts those parallel lines, the angle 1 is congruent to angle 3. That means that 9x = 117. When you divide by 9 and slve for x, you get that x = 13.

I know its not c

I put that and got it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay nevermind.. 13! thank you very much. i was forgerring to divide it!

Can you help me with another one please?

Ok, here you need to use the slope formula That is\[\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]That means that you use the y coordinates and the x coordinates from the 2 points they gave you on the line. They gave you (-6, -3) and (1, 6). We will call the second y 6 and the first y -3. 6-(-3)=9, right? Now let's look at the x's. We will call the second x 1 and the first x -6. 1-(-6) = 7. Now the slope is the y term over the x term, so that's 9/7
