btw they are called "dice" and rolling two of the same number is called "doubles"
you are being asked for the probability you roll doubles on a pair of dice
once you count that there are 6 doubles, double 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6
divide that by \(36\) and get
\[\frac{6}{36}=\frac{1}{6}\]
