Help please question below
Which of the following describes the image of a square after a dilation that has a scale factor of 6? A. Its sides are 6 units longer than those of the original square. B. Its sides are as long as those of the original square. C. Its sides are 6 times as long as those of the original square. D. Its sides are 6 units shorter than those of the original square.
I believe the answer is c,

A student performs two transformations on a figure on a coordinate plane. Which of the following series of transformations would NOT result in a congruent figure? A. a translation of 2 units up and then a dilation of B. a rotation of 90° around one point and then a reflection over the x-axis C. a reflection over the y-axis and then a reflection over the line y = x D. a translation of 9 units to the left and then a translation of 1 unit down
@dan815 i think i got the other ones dan, but can you help him out with this one?
A, when you dilate it you are changing the size, congruent means the sides and the shape must be equal, in whatever way you look at it, doest matter i its rotated or moved in different places though
What scale factor was used to dilate square ABCD to form square A′ B′ C′ D′? http://www.icoreonline.com/content/TLNAM8UB/6087002/2BDSC08_PTB_06.png A. 3 B. 2 C. D.
