Shamim did well there. But, it can better done like : Using point - slope form You're given with : \({\left\{\begin{matrix} m = 2 \\ x_1 = -3 \\ y_1 = -2 \end{matrix} \right\} }\) \((y-y_1) = m(x-x_1)\) \(y - (-2)) = m(x-(-3))\) \((y+2) = 2(x+3)\) Simplify it further, and you will get an equation of the straight line passing through the point (-3,-2) and having slope of 2.
