What is it that you have to analyze* from the story? I read this story already, and I believe I have a very good interpretation of the meaning. I could help you out *^.^* Just be more specific please. c:
Hi arabpride :) Any significant quotes, I guess. I don't really want the answer, I just want to understand how to intercept quotes and what questions I should ask myself. Thanks!
Alrighty, I read this story about 2 - 3 years ago, so I need to sorta refresh my mind a bit /.^ Okay so, you should google for some of the most famous quotes of phrases in the story, and choose the one that has the most meaning to us, and reflects certain personal values, and interpret the quote as best as possible. *^.^*
Is there any criteria I should fufil to intercept the quote as best as I can? I'm not really sure how to intercept it.
Teachers have told me to do that before but it doesn't really help.
It depends. We can all have our own interpretation of the same quote, phrase, symbol, etc., and it all depends on our personal values, and opinion. True, we can often make a general statement about a quote that we all can agree on, but when we personally look further into it, we would have our own interpretation of it... So, depending on what you think and feel about a certain topic will reflect and influence your answer.
Although I feel as my question isn't really answered, I really appreciate your time answering my questions :) Thank you arabpride.
You're Welcome, and since i really like the story and understand the topic, i want to help you as much as i can. c:I'll see what i can do.
Chose a few quotes that you might like to consider: “Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing.” “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.” “Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don’t eat up people’s gardens, don’t nest in corncribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.” “You just hold your head high and keep those fists down. No matter what anybody says to you, don't you let 'em get your goat. Try fightin' with your head for a change. “I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. “They're certainly entitled to think that, and they're entitled to full respect for their opinions... but before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience.” “It’s never an insult to be called what somebody thinks is a bad name. It just shows you how poor that person is, it doesn’t hurt you.” narrowed it down from this: http://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/3275794-to-kill-a-mockingbird
