OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which could be the secondary consumer of energy in a food chain? Mushroom grass bear or grasshopper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure its bear.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

non of those, secondary consumers get eaten by other cosumers, bears dont. grasshoppers are primary consumers and mushrooms are a decomposer, secondary consumers are like zebras, fish, etc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was confused by that too but if it had to be one of those bear would be the closest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, but if you answered bear it might be wrong, bears tertiary consumer, secondary consumers like between bear and grasshopper :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

secondary consumers are carnivores though. Grasshoppers are not carnivorous.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Secondary consumers also get eaten by tertiary consumers, nothing really eats bears. And i wasnt saying grasshoppers are secondary consumers, there primary consumers, bears are tertiary consumers so secondary consumers is in between. Either way non of the organisms or animals you listed are secondary consumers
