WHat would a ecosystem without primary producers be like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you asking "what is a ecosystem without primary producers?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because all ecosystems have primary producers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What a ecosystem would be like without primary consumers like secondary consumers would be threatened etc... I know its not possible but its for a essay and im not really sure what to say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

consumers or producers cause youre saying 2 different things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhh primary producer sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We have to do it for all the levels, and im kind of saying the same thing for all them, the level below would overpopulate and the level above would be in danger

OpenStudy (anonymous):

without a primary producer there would be no ecosystem at all. Plants are producers so if theres no plants then theres nothing for the primary consumers to eat causing them to die out, causing secondary concumers having no food causing them to die out and so on. In the end there would be no ecosystem at all, no plants, no animals, no living things.
