@marissalovescats I have noticed you're online. could you please help me with something, i am confused.
I'm confused on how to do this. I have divided 144 by 3 and it gave me 48 and that's wrong.
Probably because the dimensions are 3 times and not the overall surface area. If it's not B it has to be A because that's the only number smaller than 144.
but how did you do it?
I honestly have no idea haha
This got me to 432. And I'm confused how.
Well in that one, you had to read it carefully. It's asking for the Surface area of Box B which is bigger than A so it can't be 27 because 27<54
I chose randomly haha. but I don't understand why it isn't something less than 432? You don't know about this topic ?
I have an idea
Thanks anyway c:
I do know that if we can find the dimensions of cube A then we can find the volume of cube B. Let me do some research real quick
Okay c:
OKAY GOT IT
The volume of cube B is 216. A cube has all the sides equal and to get the volume, you multiply length * width * height. If the volume is 27, so it is 3 * 3 * 3 to get 27. If the dimensions are twice of A, then it will be 6 * 6 * 6 to get 216. <- I FOUND THIS!!
So it says that the DIMENSIONS of Cube B (aka sides of a cube aka all the same length bc its a cube) are twice the dimensions of Cube A. We know the volume of Cube A is 54 We know the volume of a cube is V=a^3 So we solve for a to find a dimension of Cube A: |dw:1402017402726:dw|
