what may cause a mass extinction
NOW that's a fun question.
Is it weird I said that? Asteroid, plague, super volcano, magnetic field reversal, gamma ray bursts, sea level change (global warming), humans (nuclear war).
Those are some of many
was your question provided with any choices or is this open ended ?
Probably had choices, but I wanted to share that...lol
There are many causes for mass extinctions like @iambatman said above. ^ Climate change, meteorite/comet impact & species domination are a just a few reasons.... Many scientist argue that we are currently in a mass extinction.
it can be many different reasons not sure which ones you are looking for lol and I agree @iambatman
@Miracrown haha Lol you copied that from google
yes
there can be many other reasons which we're not even aware of using our limited technology/senses
A cool thought experiment would be dealing with black holes, you can read a book by Neil deGrasse Tyson called "Death by Black Hole," it's very cool, in a nutshell if you die from a black hole they made a term for it...called spaghettification, where like the name says, you get spaghettified at an alarmingly fast rate. I don't want to get too visual with how it would look lol, I don't think it's appropriate. But, yes as Ganeshie mentioned our imaginations are limited.
Systematic removal of all representatives of a species.
That made me chuckle
The fact that you said this was a fun question made me chuckle.
I want someone to draw me a picture of earth shaking humans off of her like a dog does water... a bunch of people just flying in to space with looks of shock on their faces:)
lol
