3.) How has the United Nations responded to Nations that have violated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? Give at least one specific example, and explain whether or not the UN actions were effected at protecting the rights.

I don't seem to see the exact answer in this document. The closest answer I can find is Article 11, which states on what happens when someone is charged with a penal offense. But I don't think that would be right. Are you sure this is the only document they gave you? D:

i think they are asking you to look at previous cases where a nation has violated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and then use the document to look at whether or not the UN's ruling had the effect of bringing about more rights for the people as outlined in the document. Or something like that :)

the answer is not going to be straightforward. I think that they want you to research a prior UN case. THEN use the document given to decide if the ruling they gave adds to the rights of the people the case was for like the document says they are trying to do (more rights for everyone).
