Sorry, I'm not sure if this is in the right area. I'm just wondering how I can speed through calculations? I'm doing a maths exam soon and I'm really slow at working out. (There's two exams - one without technology (no calculator) and one with). But not just for the exam, I want to complete my maths work faster and more accurately too. Thanks :)
Well, though, there are many Vedic tricks to speed up the calculations. But I believe in only one thing - PRACTICE . This is the word which applies to every subject and every person. If you will practice calculations and try to remember some general calculations/tables, then it will help you.
Search for *VEDIC MATHEMATICS* on google if you want to learn more about it.
Thank you mathslover! :) I agree on the practise one (practise makes perfect) but I just wanted to see if there were more ways. Thank you :)
Yeah, there may be some more ways, for example, I learnt Abacus skills. But those don't matter a lot. Practice is what which matters. Good Luck!
Just wondering, what is the difference between Verdict and Abacus maths? Which is better? I found a site for Verdict, but I'm not sure if it's accurate: http://www.vedicmathsin10days.com/9382Day1.php Thank you for the good luck :)
@Zealous - If you really want to learn Verdict (Vedic) or Abacus Maths, then I would prefer you to learn Vedic mathematics, as I prefer it over Abacus Mathematics. Abacus mathematics is more like first using Abacus to learn Calculations and then it teaches Mental Mathematics i.e. to do calculations in the mind itself. But, it involves some great commitment and practice , as well as time. That I don't think everyone will have. While Vedic Mathematics, is itself a type of Mathematics which was used by our ancestors as well as it is based on some interesting methods. It is fun to learn Vedic Mathematics! Though, I never learnt it completely, as I don't have enough time for it, but I used to look at some of the tricks, those were awesome, but you need to remember them or make such a pattern in your mind which will help you in remembering them. Vedic Mathematics tend to go deeper, with helping you to even solve certain equations. If you aim to study Mathematics in future also, then go for it. As it is a great subject to learn *if* you are interested in Mathematics. http://www.vedamu.org/Veda/1795$Vedic_Mathematics_Methods.pdf The link above will be perfect for you to study from ^ Also, you can search for Vedic Mathematics courses - https://www.google.co.in/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=VediC+Mathematics+course If you can pay, then you will find many, and if you are willing to find some free courses, search for "Vedic Mathematics courses for free" Good Luck!
I'm probbaly overwhelming you with thank yous, but thank you xD I really appreciate it :)
