PREALG4M 3.1.2-1 Multiply. 10(16y) A. 26y B. 160y C. 160 + y D. 160 + 10y
@theylovequeendee
@tori22-1991
Probably B.
This is quite easy so B. Do you understand how to do it tho?
no i dont
What is 10 times 16?
160
Ok now all you have left is the y so it looks like 160(y) So when ever there is ()'s it is most likely multiplication. But they don't seem to want you to simplify all the way so it would be 160y
ok here i think i got this 1 i just want u to check it just a minute
Ok
PREALG4M 3.1.1-1 Simplify the expression by combining like terms. -8x - 4x A. -12x B. -4x C. -12 + x D. 32x i think its D
I would say A Because you combine the like terms and 8 plus 4 is 12 and they are both negative so -12x
ok
Understand now?
nope
^^ I agree with her
No not you, victoriaa, sorry
this is true right? PREALG4M 3.2.1-6 Decide whether the given number is a solution of the given equation. Is -3 a solution of 3 + x = 0 ? A. Yes B. No
I can not continue to answer different questions if you are not understanding them.. We have to get you to understand the first 2 first.
ok then can u help me understand them?
Ok for the first one all you did was multiply the 10 and the 16 and since the y was left over and there was no possible way to simplify any more it would be 160y. Understand?
yeah
Ok for the second one you combine the LIKE TERMS do you know what like terms are?
YEAH
Ok. So then you just combine 8 and 4 and that makes 12 nd they -8 and -4 are negatives. So it would be you have 12x's and it is negative so -12x
OK I UNDERSTAND sry caps
It is fine.... So for the third one it would be true because 3 + -3 =0
yeah that's what i thought
Is that all?
