I hate how most of the time people don't even help me answer my questions. -,-

mathslover (mathslover):

Yeah @stormyweather , I understand. Many have reported that they are not getting proper help. This has been one of the problems on which the ambassadors, moderators and admins team are working. The Team has been searching for ideas in order to solve this. Though, we have got some suitable ideas to implement an get this problem solved, I would like to hear something from you - \(\bullet\) In which groups are you getting problem? \(\bullet\) Have you tried tagging users who have higher SS ? (tag a user only one time, mass tagging is not appreciated on OpenStudy!) \(\bullet\) Are you seeking for - Direct Answers or Some Real Help through discussions? Sometimes, you need to understand that the users over here are all *volunteers* . They come here to help others but as you may know that all have their personal lives too. They may be Away From Keyboard (AFK) or they may not get enough time to help all the users. First priority of any person will be to take care of himself and his family. Then comes some other primary tasks, and later comes OpenStudy. Even I am a lot busy now-a-days because of bad health and some projects to work upon. So, unfortunately, I don't look up at all the questions where I have been tagged. We thank you for reporting this to us, also, I would like to hear that what could be your suggestions to solve this problem? Looking forward for your responses Mathslover (OpenStudy Ambassador)

Maybe have them help someone before being able to ask another question.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean I understand but it tells you there are like 200+ online on that subject but yet not one person can help. It's just aggrevating and it might just be because I am impatient.

mathslover (mathslover):

Stormy, Yes! When someone wants urgent help, then he/she may get impatient like you did/do. As per my information, this and the next month may get a lot of traffic of users asking for help, as there are Exams coming near (I think in USA/ some other countries) . So, not all can get help but we try our level best to help all the users. Can you answer the above questions raised by me in the first post? That will help me to understand your problem and go deeper in it.

1) english and science 2) I have but not that much. 3) And I like when people tell me the answer and how they got it. Because I understand you cannot just hand out answers to people.

mathslover (mathslover):

Thanks for answering those. Well, let me analyze your points individually. \( \space i) \) English and Science groups are not that active but as far as I know, there are some users who are expert at these subjects and may help you then. These include Ms. Becca @beccaboo333 etc. But, these users generally come online at this time or after. \(\space ii) \) Good to hear that you dont' do mass tagging as it really irritates the other users who are tagged. It is more like a spam. :) Tagging appropriate users in appropriate groups is most important for you. For example, if a user will tag me in Maths , then I may help him/her. But, if someone will tag me in Biology, then the chances for me helping the user will go down to 0.1% . As, I am not good in it. So, try to search for some good users who have been helping others nicely in English and Science groups. Tag them only once, and expect a proper help. \(\space iii)\) I applaud you for that! Its good to see that you don't seek for direct answers and even you seek for proper help . (You may also want to request the users in the Chats to help you. Post the link in the Mathematics Chat (as it is the most active one) ) So, this will help us in understanding the issue in a deeper way. Thanks for helping us in this. :-) We hope that you will get proper help soon, if you follow the above suggestions. - Mathslover
