It’s the monsters that hide in my head that keep me awake,
The ones with the glowing eyes,
The masked faces,
The torturers,
The monsters that find their way into my daily life,
The monsters that make me afraid to sleep,
The monsters that hurt the ones I love,
The monsters who make me watch when I can’t move,
I know why they are there,
But I can’t make them leave,
Can’t you see the life slowly leaving my eyes?
They keep me awake night after night,
They tear me down,
I wake up crying,
I wake up tired and scared,
Isn’t there anything I can do to make them stop?
