Suppose that y varies inversely with x and that y-4 when x=6 what is an equation for the inverse variation? Is it y= x/24?

hartnn (hartnn):

with inverse variation, \(\Large y = \dfrac{k}{x}\) and you got k =24 which is correct

hartnn (hartnn):

now just plug in value of k in that equation what do u get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=24/x ?

hartnn (hartnn):
