@cwrw238 plz help

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

I'm a little confused with this one presumably you want a fraction equal to 52/4 which has a denominator of 40 if that the case then your answer is 520/40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that's what i want thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wai wait wait no i want a fraction equal to 5z/4 with a denominator of 40 @cwrw238

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

well all you need do is multiply top and bottom of 5z/4 by 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um how would i multiply with a letter in it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@cwrw238

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

just multiply the 5 by 10 - the letter stays there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer would be 50z/40?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

just suppose the letter z stood for a box of apples if you multiplied 5 boxes by 10 you would get 50 boxes or 50z

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yea
