OpenStudy (anonymous):

Opposite direction of the field

OpenStudy (somy):

i don't get where exactly is the field T_T

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The thing is when they say "at right angle into the plane of the paper" I have no idea from which side is it they are talking about..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah it's worded badly, but it seems you're correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to remember positive charges move in the direction of the electric field, where negative charges (electrons) move in the opposite direction of the electric field.

OpenStudy (somy):

so by saying that electric field is from observer to the sheet we can say that the electron beam we repel to the opposite direction toward the observer? am i getting it right? @iambatman

OpenStudy (somy):

will* repel

Yup, unless I read the question right, you're correct.
