lateral sides means
well, just the side, not including the base or the bottom of the pyramid

notice is a hexagonal pyramid.... so it has 6 lateral sides or faces

each one is a triangle

so to find the lateral side of the pyramid
just find the area each triangular side has :)    notice, you're given the height and the base of the triangular side

so all 6 triangular sides SUMMED UP will be the lateral side of the pyramid
