Find the volume of solid formed by y=x^2 +1, x=0, x=2, rotated about x=2... i got 12pi cu. u.... but i am not really sure if my answer is correct...

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

How did you get that? What was your integral?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2\pi \int\limits_{0}^{2} x(x^2 +1) dx\]

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Looks to me like you are rotating about y = 0. What happened to x = 2?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Radius should be (2-x) Height should be (y-1)

Is this the region?|dw:1402108468090:dw| If yes, use @tkhunny's dimensions.
