use the formula R= pl/A
Replace R with V/I ohms law
than V/I= pl/A
A is small therefore V must be large (inversely proportional)

Now see in eq 2, they are reducing the diameter, which means area is reduced, so since rho , l are constants and A is decreasing ,t the nResistance increases, now in eq 1, since current in constant, when u increse R , V would increase
