The length of the base of a triangle is 5.3 cm, and its height is 6.7 cm. If the area of the triangle is half of the product of its base length and height, the area of the triangle is __________ cm2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for triangles you are given that the area (A) = b(the base) * h (the height)/2. you are given your base and your height so plug your numbers in where they should go based off of what you are given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A = bh/2 so in this case b = 5.3 h = 6.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then the product of those two numbers divided by 2 will give you your area

hope that helps

Thanks, sure did.
