Hypothetical Question: What should I major in?

Not going to make a long story out of this. Typically, I have the choice between Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as a undergraduate major. I plan on becoming an Astrophysics/QM professor in the future. I am extremely proficient in mathematics and love studying astrophysics, QM, neuroscience and metaphysics in my spare time. I generally won't find either option difficult considering I've taught myself the majority of the coursework in both majors, but which would be better for my future goal(s)?
