In triangle XYZ the measure of angle Y is twice the measure of angle X, and the measure of angle Z us three times the measure of angle X. What is the degree measure of angle Y?
@hartnn
sum of angles in a triangle = 180 so x+y+z = 180
X+Y+Z =180
angle Y is twice the measure of angle X ----> Y =2X
angle Z us three times the measure of angle X ----> Z = 3X
so how can i put that as an equation then? like: 3X + 2X + X = 180?
correct! fin X
okay so: that will be 6X=180 and x= 30?
and then i multiply 30 by 2 to find y right?
yes, good :)
thanks @hartnn
welcome ^_^
can u check my answer for other questions?
sure
please wait.. i have to draw something.
|dw:1402184483676:dw| In the figure above, segments AB, BC, CD, and AC are all equal. What is the value of x? * I got 120 degrees.
|dw:1402184558995:dw|
x =120 is correct
THANKS. ANOTHER ONE..
|dw:1402184620070:dw| If the measure of angle ABC is 145°, what is the value of x?
you got 52 ?
I said 52°? so yes
correct :D
If the perimeter of a square is 32 meters, what is the area of the square, in square meters? * I said it was 64㎡
4s =32 s=8 A =s^2 =64 correct!
Thanks and the last question was the one that I posted originally. Thanks once again @hartnn . I will need way more help in the future... ;)
welcome ^_^ always happy to help :)
